DETAILED SYNOPSIS:
Very few people can claim to have changed the youth culture of the world in the way that Elvis Presley did. He showed the youth of the day anotherlifestyle and arguably created the 'teenager'. For the first time teenagers could express themselves through their own music and fashion, breaking with tradition and not just following in their parents footsteps.
Elvis's life has been well documented, especially since his untimely death in 1977, but the Missing Years Collection offers a unique and important insight into the private man behind the icon.

The DVD - features the least well documented events in Elvis's life and reveals in detail his two years in Germany when, at the height of his career and influenceand just three weeks after the death of his mother, he was drafted into the US Army, imposing a forced separation from his devoted fans. Also included is a special bonus 55 minute audio documentary spanning Elvis's life and career providing many insights into the some times complex personality of the man.

The CD - features 7 1954 recordings by Elvis and the Blue Moon Boys such as Maybellene, That's Alright Mama, Blue Moon of Kentucky, expressing the raw emotion packed atmosphereof his early live performances. During his time in the Army and Germany Elvis gave few interviews to the media without the consent and control of his manager, Colonel Tom Parker. This CD contains a number of such rare interviews where Elvis, in unguarded moments, revealing his vulnerability and his true, uncomplicated nature that his world-wide fans understood and loved. The Super Booklet - features 32 pages of insight, gossip and interviews with the people who knew Elvis personally.

The Super Booklet also includes rare photographs, many in full colour and some taken from the newspapers of the day, completing the profile of the greatest music and fashion icon of all time.
